just thought I'd type a quick new member post now that I'm paid up and have my n15 GTi finally!

It cost me £700, had 1 months tax, but 12 months MOT and service history with receipts. Seems like I got a bargain!

yep! absolutely standard except for the stereo of course :) and it's a runner :D

I'm shell shocked at the price I got it for. Now my insurance and tax is paid for for the year too!!

thanks for the welcome guys. It's going to take a while to get used to a slightly slower car as I owned a tuned CRX VT (the mk II not the hairdresser's one ;) ) but I'm looking forward to cheaper motoring as the last car was draining every penny from me!

Welcome! Very very clean one you got! Quite funny how you look forward to cheap motoring but lotsa ppl on here can't afford to run them.
 
Well I dont think it seems too bad to run as a standard car. at the moment it's doing mor MPG than my CRX was (29mpg at a push) and there's no rust issues to contend with! cheap motoring for me :D

I don't have any major plans for this car. I mean its a standard GTi and I want to keep it looking that way. I'll be upgrading certain parts such as suspension but only when the old ones are shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the handling of these cars, not bad for a hatchback!

Its nice to see such a clean example. I wish I could be arsed to shine mine up like that but its too much like hard work.
