Hello help needed for 2.0 micra

Hello, Im in the process of fitting driveshafts to a 2.0 P10 eGT engine in a micra... However the Shafts ive got are made up for a 2.0 almera GTI block and box in the same micra..

the smaller passangerside driveshaft fits fine but the 'shaft carrier' on the drivers side seems different on my P10eGT block and my almera shaft...

Does anyone know if the 'carriers' are different.. im sure they are but cant find a 2.0 almera in any of my local scrappies to check...

I need one of these carriers ASAP!! in order to finally get my 2.0 micra moving..
 
have a word with DBull, he must have gone through about 50 driveshafts on his micra!
 
its going.. but it aint moving.. its all ready for the shafts and ive got one in.. but the carrier for the drivers side shaft is about 3/4 inces outta place.. im assuming that the carrier for the almera is different.. there are mount holes near where i want a carrier to be but cant get hold of any almera pics to compare..

has somebody got any images of an almera 2.0/gti block with the shafts in from the 'inlet' side?
 
I'm sure DBull has to cut the driveshafts down and weld them, best to PM him mate!

Thats not the prob buddy.

Ive got a pair of WRC spec shafts made up for the SR20DE block and my mounts and hubs...

now the block the mounts were fabricated off was an Almera GTI, and ive fitted a Primera EGT REDTop... and the carrier for the O/S mount is different..

Well I now know what i need, an almera carrier..

Anyone in the NW got an almera block hanging about? with the carrier/driveshaft mount for the drivers side shaft..????????
 
Sorry mate, misread your post!

I'm not sure if anyone would be willing to split an engine they were tryna sell, so your best bet would be to (somehow) find one that had blown and steal the bits off that? although i have no idea how you would go about finding one!

I know Paul_D_GTi was selling an sr20 block for really cheap, might work out better just to buy the full block off him? he's in Sunderland like...

basically, the very same bracket on the primera block is slightly different.. its the carrier that braces the Drivers side driveshaft..
 
Yeah i know, but its attatched to the block yeah? and most people looking to sell an engine wont start breaking bits off and selling them seperatley, so you may need to buy a full cheap engine just to scavange the bit off, even scrap yards and stuff will hesitate to sell bits off an engine when they could sell the complete thing.
 
What you need is the o/s drivehshaft from a eGT, then split the outer part of the shaft and use the Almera GTi outer.

I would never have thought that this would have been an issue, but if you want I can send you an eGT o/s shaft complete.

Its ok.. Its been sorted now, thanks for your help anyway.. Ive managed to pick up a bracket/carrier...
