how r u peeps, i am eren, i found this site for help, i have read majority of the things on here and all you seem to know quite a few things here and there :) well i c the clutch slipping page, ma clutch slips like hell, especially when i lift off quick forget it lol. i think i may need new one. and one question i want to ask, i am connecting neons in ma car, so when you open the door the neons come on, i tried it to the switch on the door, but then it only came on when i shut the door, can anybody help, thanks

you could try wiring it to the interior light or something like that. Although it should work with the door. Maybe you wired it up so the button is pressed, it turns them on (when the door is closed)
try wiring it the interior light, should work fine then (thats if you have the interior light in the back like the GTi's) i'm sure you must have.
 
ok i will try that and let you know, do u think its best to wire it to the fuse box or to the light itself, so run it throught the roof of the car, i cud just wire it to the fuse box fuse of the lamp dont u think???
 
cheers mate, ur a top guy, recently got custom made jap box full decat 60mm pipe and i have taken off ma air filter cover instead of a K&N lol do u think i will get too many bugs in ma engine, it sounds wicked, and it does have a little filter on top :confused:
 
Filters are there for a reason, it stops dirt getting into the engine as otherwise your engine might not last much longer as dirt and engines dont really go well together.

Well it depends what you wanna pay. From 20 quid for a rubbish one to 155 quid for a nice BMC ;)
I recently got a pipercross kit it was 80 with all adapters etc...
I recommend it mate! K an N not so hot though,so stay away!!

cheers mate, but the link doesnt seem to wanna work, i had pipex on ma civic but didnt like it then went and bought k&n and thought it sounded better, y wouldnt u reccomend K&N cheers
 
Hi mate,

Yeah keep your filter top cover on... otherwise u'll get aload of crap into ur engine and it'll clog up the injectors eventually..... mine did when i had my other forced induction kit... The metal intake pipe (70mm) tore and a piece eventually got into my Throttle body and got wedged between the sensor lol messed my mind, took me ages to find :evil:
