Hello all

I'm Tom and the proud owner for 18 months of an 04 Almera Tino. My friend who had one recommended it to me when I had an almighty nightmare with a hellish automatic Renault laguna.

I know very little about cars in general and I've only just realised that my Tino is missing an aerial (yes, I'm a div). My only defence in this matter is that my previous few cars didn't have a wobbly aerial on top, merely the nub type thing; the black aerial holder is still on my Tino.

My car savvy pal Josh has pointed me towards a new aerial but has said that it's a massive PITA to fix it on as the whole roof has to come off, or something. Thus he's directed me to you good folk to ask if it 'might be better to see if it's possible to fit an aftermarket aerial?'

Any contributions or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers
ps. Realise Q is probably in wrong location. Sorry!
pps. What does poll choice mean!?

Sure the roof has to come off? I have a Tino reg 2003 and all u have to do to get at the aerial connections/fixings is to remove the courtesy light
