Hi-I have a jap import '96 Almera. It's badged as a Pulsar and a 1.5 auto-are there any others here? I do need some advice on getting parts for it too.

Hi, it will share most parts with the UK counterparts. Anything it doesnt any Nissan dealer should be able to get you from Japan.

Bit more about me, I have been driving Jap imports for around 6 years now but not had an Almera before. It's a second car as I have a black GTO TT which I keep for Sunday best :) I have no plans to mod the Almera-I don't think there is much I could do to an auto anyway and its been reliable as an everyday car which is what I wanted.

The GTO is mostly standard with an induction kit, after market dump valve, mongoose exhaust system and currently sits on 18" alloys.

Is yours the 4wd version?I have a brochure that lists it as a model option?
 
No-my friend imported it from Japan a couple of years ago none of the UK insurance companies list it. I think it's a bit of an oddity. Is FN15 the model?

Hi, it's petrol-as said it was directly imported from Japan a couple of years ago so I think it may be a model only available there. I did have photos will need to dig them out or take a few more-but it just looks like an maroon Almera I was told they are badged as Pulsars in Japan.

Just thinking how can I tell what model it is-the model number I have been given is about 18 digits long.

hi and welcome to the aoc!!
the 1.5's are pretty common in ireland, they have a ga15de engine in them, think damien off this site, put one of these engines in his previous 1.4 mera, they are exactly similar to the vzr's apart from the engine, interior fabric is different but everything else bout the same
 
Yeah i had the ga15de engine in my old almera, there actually slightly quicker than the 1.6 due to the gearing i think. Does it have a black plastic rocker cover??
