Hi Guys and Girls,

I'm Leo from Bristol, bought myself a mint N16 this morning! 2000 on a 'X' with only 35k on the clock.

Very pleased with her, but find that the 1800 is lacking in power, any suggestions?

Also it came with a dog guard, which came straight out! Nasty things! Anybody looking for one? lol

Nice clean looking car there mate - welcome to the AOC.

How about a K&N panel filter, exhaust upgrade & superunleaded ? That all helps, or it has on mine :lol:
 
Arrh another N16, Excellent!!!!

As for the power issues, give it some super unleaded, and a leave it in 2nd, 3rd gear a bit longer to give it a clear out.:D

Chances are it didn't see 6,000rpm to often with a woofer in the back:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Liking the screen in the cubby hole, but what is the black thing with the green LED under the steering wheel :confused: I`m guessing it`s a bluetooth receiver?
 
my mams cars the same she has a 2001 N16 1.8 sport+ it looks the part but its shit for speed it only has 114 bhp my 1.4 can beat it best thing to do is browse around and engine mods mate 4/2/1 manifold straight through exhaust system panel filter spark plugs actually make a difference them bosch super 4 are very good cam upgrades and welcome to the AOC mate

I have already hit rev limit (accidently! :rolleyes: ) in 1st! Tried to give it a blast to clear the cobwebs, see if it'll loosen up!

Apparently it was factory fitted!? Looks like they fitted themselves! its got a massive hole in the cubby hole where its been drilled for the wires to run through, and it doesn't fold. They guy gave me a folding bracket, but i haven't a clue! Also, that green LED thing, he said it was the reciever for something (he didn't know what he was on about!) I think its the remote reciever.

Thanks for the info. I knew there wasn't much in terms of bolt on mods to tune these, I want SR20det power!
 
Welcome to the AOC :) Great to have yet another N16 mwhahahaha!
Looks like a very clean example. The later sports look great all colour coded. I see you've got the very rare optional extra screen jobbie too! Supposed to be sat nav???

As mentioned above with regards to mods. I'm sure theres more to be had out of the QG18 as other 1.8's seems to have more power. Nissan liked to tune cars down post 2000 apparently :P

Thanks for the warm welcome mate! Yeah, its the Sat Nav. Can't get used to it though as I'm used to TOM TOM! Its fiddly too as you can only control it by remote.
I know what you mean about the QG18, I used to drive a SR20DET!
