I am well an truly a newbie and just wanted to introduce myself and maybe get a few questions answered about my recently purchased Almera 1.5 SVE 3dr.
Not only am I new to Almera's but Nissan's in gereral and even forums, so please bare with me.
Absolutely love my purchase. Its a a black 04 plate but only done 34k. From what I've been told by the person I bought it off they have never had any trouble with it and all the MOT & service documents back this up, even got every tax disk since it was first taxed!
There are 3 things that I knew about that would need looking at before I bought it. I've had a look around the forum but not been able to find the answers to the problems I have. (As I said, new to forums too!).
I say problems, they are not show stoppers but would like to get them fixed. They are;
1. Cigarette lighter doesn't work. I'm guessing it may be a fuse, but have no idea were the fuse box is or how to get into it!
2. The CD Player has a CD stuck in it that doesn't play and I can't get it out. I believe this is a common is fault. Am I better to buy a replacement Nissan radio, or upgrade to a new version. Will I need any special adaptors?
3. Finally, as I can't listen to CD's, I'd normally listen to the radio, however, the aerial has snapped off (at the front). I've managed to remove the lights in the roof, and can see the nut but need to really be able to move the sunglasses holder to get at it. (Rusted on I think). But I cannot see any screws are any way to remove the glasses holder. Can anyone help?
