Just like to say hello. I've just bought an 04 Almera Tino and from what I have read on here would appear to be a very small minority but anyway its one more now :) Its a great car it beleive it or not it replaced our Subaru Impreza Wagon. We needed something practical and comfy (Two dogs and a one year old) and looked at all different estate cars and a few MPV's. Hated the Renault Scenic and Picasso, liked the newer Impreza Wagons but saw by chance a Tino on a Subaru specialist's forecourt and liked its looks so took it for a spin.

I had previously had an Almera as a hire car a couple of years ago and found it one of the easiest cars to drive. We went home and did a bit of research and shopped around for a good one at a good price. We ended up with an SE (Extras) model 2004 with 14200 miles on the clock and just had its second service and we managed to pick it up for £7k. This is a whole lot of car for such little money and its a shame Nissan did not market it better as I think it is far superior to the likes of the Scenic.

As you mention about marketing it I cannot actually recall ever seeing an advert on the television or in a newspaper for the Tino. You are right, you are in a minority there with the Tino on this site, can only think of 1 or 2 others that have been on here recently with one. Bit of a change coming down from the Impreza to the Almera isn't it

Sounds like you got a very good deal there, must still be almost as new condition still what with that age and mileage! Welcome to the site anyway.

The Impreza was good for what it was but being a non turbo model but still the same 2.0 engine it tended to have the same attitude from other drivers always wanted to race etc.. I'm getting on a bit now and could do without the people driving up your arse to see if you will bite. We bought it a while ago because we liked the styling and shape and satisifed all our criteria at the time. Its now 9 years old and we wanted something a bit newer.

welcome to aoc mate!
i love them scooby wagons, their great cars n that but i'd say it does get a bit annoying having the boy racers trying to give you a go at every set of lights you hit
as for the almera tino, theres not many owners on here, but i think theres one or two.. i've heard their a great car, my mates dad has one and its been reliable for him all the time.. no problems at all
