HELP! Airbag light flashing after i mounted new seats

As the topic says: I have now changed my seats in the Almera. Its a 1998" N15.

I dont know what happened, but after i changed out the original seats, the airbag lamp started to flash..

Its a badge on each original seat that says "SRS Airbag".. Dont know why, but i have a feeling that the org. seats had something to do with the airbag system..

Does anyone know how i make that damn light stop flashing? its very, very innoing...

Thanx for any help.

- Hans

if the seats had badges on saying airbag doesnt that answer your question?? you just removed the seats that airbags in, hence the dash light.
do a search as im not farmilier with this, but is got something to do with bridging something to tell the ecu the airbags a still fitted

didnt think the ph2 gti had airbags in the seats?

as stated the later ones do as do mine, but looking at another thread, does he actualy have a gti? if not forget i spoke, maybe

I would tell you lot how to do it but its dangerous if you do not know what your doing ask Tech or something to tell you how to do it. you can bypass it

Like i said in your members rides thread, you need a resistor the same resistance as the seats, to trick the airbag, but the airbag/s may go off so be really careful, and do so at your own risk (im not condoning it).
