Help Needed!

ok, i got a HID conversion kit and i was wondering if any of you guys could help me!

i dont wana go to my mechanic and pay for it to be fitted, would rather give it a go my self..

any one had any experiences with these kits?
its pretty straight forward from what i can make out..

xenon headlight bulb ------- ballast -------- controller --------- battery

thats basically the way it goes... i pretty much know where all the wires go.. but there is one adaptor that is puzzling me, on the 'controller' its basically a box, with wires coming from the battery and then two wires going to each ballast but then there is another connector on it, it has 3 prongs kinda like:

I I <--- looking straight at it,

i duno where this slots into!!!??? any ideas?

also can anyone tell me where or how does the stalk control/connect to the headlights, as i'm assuming that you plug out the stock one and plug in the above adapter!!

any ideas!?

thanks in advance

Im taking a wild guess but does the I I bit go into the original head light socket

on your diagram
xenon headlight bulb ------- ballast -------- controller --------- battery

I can not see how you can turn your head lights on (stalker) I think the I I bit plugs into the head light socket so when u turn ur head light on it triggers a relay making the Xenon head lights to turn on

This is the pic of a H4 head light base (what the N15's use)

so that /\ 3 prongs and it plugs into the white connection head (on the actual car)

Do not do it now because its only a guess lol

oh yeah just want to say I have nothing to do with it if it screws up

Good luck with it Im sure some other guys can help you out on here :)

Like this

but you have a direct fitting so you do not have to modify it

guide from here

:)

thanks for quick reply darren, basically, sorry if my diagram thingy is a bit weird.. might be a bit misleading, the pic: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/Images/H4connectors_t.jpg (the yellow one) is basically what i was trying to describe, i dont know where that slots into! there is one with the kit, and i was trying to draw it, (I-I) so does this connect onto the stocks then!?

think my kit may vary slightly to the others, you mentioned above, doesnt seem to be any type of cutting necessary!

so is that 3 prong pin basically connectable up to the stock controller for the headlights?

the H4 head lights have 3 prong. and what u said has 3 prong . I am guessing them 3 prong connect into the original head light connector

because you have not said where the connector connects to the head lights.

I am guessing when u turn on the head lights
it will send 12v+ to the head lights as normal but when you connect them 3 prongs the Control box will detects the 12V+ and then trigger a relay and turn on the xenon headlight

think your on to something there mate, the 'original head light connector' your talking about, - i assume that this is the one that is coming from the stalk/controller arm inside the car, which you switch on the lights with... am i right? when the stalk is turned on, it will then send a 'message' down to the (NEWLY INSTALLED) 3 prongs!? and thus will trigger the xenons.. is that what you mean!?

sorry for confusing you.. really hard to describe the bits and pieces, plus theres no god damn instructions with the thing!

i just thought i'd update this thread,
turns out its piss easy to do, everything slots into certain connectors and it all fitted without much bother, only thing is finding room for the ballasts and the controller but they fitted without much hassle, i'll get some pics up of the finished results, the lights look pretty good and they dont blind oncoming traffic (afaik) heheh
