Hey lads the other day i was cleanin out the car an left the stereo on and the battery died, i then i tried to start the car and wouldn't start, then we tried to push start the car and that wouldnt work either, then i got jump leads and tried still that wouldnt work, and everytime i turn on the ignition there is this loud squeeky beep sound i dont know if its for the immobiliser or what, any ideas its a 97 almera gti. Thanks
 
dont bother charging it just becomes more and more usless as it gets older also check the fluid levels in it (mine were bone dry e.g fucked)...might aswel buy a new one and get 3 year garantee.
 
So rather than a simple charge up you`d recommend a new one?...even though the only reason its gone flat is because the stereo was left on? If you have money to burn buy a new one.
 
i dont have money to burn i am running a gti..! Ive tried charging it only the lights will work i was told i hav to get the immobiliser reset..???
 
i have a spare on but theres no way in hell i am bringing it to ireland, check fluid levels on it top up if nessary, carge over night ten put back on in morning, when u put back on make sure all the contacts are clean. u shouldn't have a problem after that
