Hi all,
Have had my Almera for nearly a week now and already I have managed to break the sat nav!
It is the type that opens up from the top of the dashboard on a V reg pre production model. It has been working fine up until now, however today I switched it on only to find it would not respond to any of the buttons. This means I now have to drive round with the screen up displaying the start up screen because it won't let me go any further or turn it off - when you turn off the engine it closes, but it opens up again as soon as you switch back on.
I took it to Widnes Car centre this afternoon and one of the guys came to have a look but could shed no light - apparently he's never seen a faulty one before. My dad who is a bit of an electrician thinks the on/off switch might have become jammed and is planning on stripping it down to have a look. However this seems a bit drastic - can anyone help?????
Thanks!
