the ecu is, see where your clutch pedal is left of it there is a plastic box cover between the footwells, its in there
 
The diagnostic port to plug into the ECU is behind the plastic cover, on the dash, near the bonnet release mechanism on the drivers side.

Not sure if that is what you needed to know though.

But like Alan has said, the ECU it self is located to the left of the clutch pedal on a RHD almera.
