was drivin around norwich a few days ago and my passenger says ur speedo dont worrk, i looked and it was fine, then a few hours later drivin about again and it had stoped workin again. any1 know of any common faults

its a 1.4 r reg car

Check your gearbox sensor isn't loose. Check the wires behind the clocks to see if none of them are frayed or have a bad crimp or general connection.

Don't think its isolated just to 1.4 as I've had the same problem too. Mine was a bad wire behind the clocks.
