Hey guys my name is Kaan, im a student from South-East London. I Just bought a 1998 Black GTI model:D, was thinking about doing a few mods but finding myself with a dead ends. just some quick questions:

1) FSE power boost valves, they worth putting in :confused:? they claim to make the car faster etc...
2) I found a K&N induction kit, but was wondering are there any other model based induction kits that i can buy?

Looking forward to going through the site, seeing what else everyone has done.

Power boost valve wont do anything without other basic mods first, should be one of the last things you do. K and N filters also arent very good, best are either apexi or BMC CDA enclosed filter.

If you want to fit a few starter mods, try an xs power manifold from ebay, lowering springs, and a decent cat back exhaust - between 2.25" and 3" depending on what kind of power you want to run. Then there are other things like cams, flywheel, intake etc. Good luck!
 
Sorry... k and n induction cone filters for a GTi arent very good :P they are dyno proven to lose power. My old K11 was slower with a k and n too (But sounded awesome), but Tommo has a k and n panel filter in his standard airbox on his Si and it is good.
