Hi, i've been lurking on this forum for a while now and finally took the effort to post a bit about myself and my almera, as this community seems to be pretty awesome and laid back ;)

I'll start off with myself..

Im Jeroen Talens from the netherlands (that lil place next to germany^^), which makes my name sound pretty weird for you guys.. so lets just see it as jerry... or rather joe :P

anyways, im almost 20, living in a small town where nothing really happens, and working in a callcenter next to my study.

Got my drivers license as soon as i got 18 and got a car from my mom, a ford escort 1.6 from '95 (dont ask more :P). It was a wreck and ended up at the scrap after a checkup ( MOT there, APK here :) ) got myself a mitsubishi lancer from '95 , not a quickie :P.

I was looking for a nice car for quite a while and ended up looking for an almera, seeing as my dad works at a nissan dealership and all :rolleyes:, Found a gti at a bargain price - 1900 euros, most go for 2900 here :O - and it pretty much ended on my driveway. A lot of things werent right, bad clutch, a few broken interrior parts, and a bad paintjob and so on...

Have it for over a month now and alot is happening lately, as some idiot made a dent in my front bumper im fetching 2k for it, which speeds things up a bit :P

Anyway, the text is getting too long, here are some pics from when i had it for a few days:

Done:

Lowering springs
Few cleanups (brake pads)
Clean Rear of emblems
Replace broken interrior parts

To be done:

New front bumper and fog light
New clutch
Full paint job
Tinting rear windows
Other rims
blinkers
induction kit
and a hell of alot more ;)


Ill see if i can take some new pictures tomorrow of its current state

and thanks for the nice comments, although the pictures dont show a lot of stuff being wrong with the paint :P

going to fit the new induction kit tomorrow, nothing fancy, just a k&n 57i ;)
 
the previous owner put an antenna there... dont ask why the one on the roof works perfect :P
i removed it and put a small rubber in as temporary solution.

theres a dent in the front bumper as u can see, and the fog light is split in half, they are both going to be replaced.

The body is full with little dents, u cant see them on the pic.

and the rear bumper is one of an LX, im going to spray that aswell :P

so yeah its a good start, but alot of things need to be done :>
 
time for an update: my car is currently at the paint shop getting a respray. im excited at getting it back at the end of this week to see how it has become

Changes ive done since the last pics: not alot, put an induction kit on, lowered it and bought clear side repeaters

whats going to happen soon: Tint the rear windows and get my hands on some p2 headlights and maybe tail lights, but im not too sure about either of those :S

also, anyone that has any suggestions about my foglights, were not allowed to drive with them here but they look sweet. some people mod them into daytime lights wich is (as far as i know) legal, but how.. i dont know, maybe change the fitting, or put a regulator on? any suggestions?
