Hi again

i have tried to post in the help section but it says i cant so have to post here and i apologise in advance :(

My 98 almera gx seems fine apart from 1 thing. When im driving if i dip the clutch and coast along the road, the revs drop down to idle and then suddenly go extremely low to the point it seems like the car is going to stall, it then picks back up to idle and then goes low again and so on etc etc. It has actually stalled 3 times lately due to this

I think i have worked out that it seems to be if i coast while the car is still in gear. If i knock it into neutral and coast it seems to settle at idle.

Any ideas?

thanks

welcome along..take your airfilter and intake pipe off and try giving your throttle body a good clean with some electrical cleaner and a tooth brush, it was an issue i had with my escort that black deposits where stoping the butterfly in the throttle body performing its best
