Not exactly a newbie but not been here for some while and now I'm a girly with a problem with my ABS so I'm going to post in the appropriate section for that.
I've a bog standard red GTi registered in May '97 - only customisation is a tow bar (on the car when I got it cos it was used for trailing a hill-climb car) !
