you dont have to remove the fascia to get the stereo out or put a new one in. depending on what stereo is fitted yours (mine had a sony one) there are usually little tools you can get from halfords/local sereo shop that you slot down the side and pull it out.
sorry, ignore me, i just remembered my old one was screwed in!
two screws under the heater controls (or under the stereo, cant remember), one on the top of the ashtray hole, flathead screwdriver round the sides and pop it out. be careful you dont pul the wires out of the hazard/heated rear screen switch.
Thanks, I'll have a look. The car currently has a Sony unit with column control, but I have just got a really nice JVC DVD header unit and the supplier won't fit it until Weds, so I thought I'd give it a go. It cannot be too difficult, I got the loom adaptor with it.
