Hi all. was wondering if i can get advice and help on SR conversion on N16

Hi everyone new to aoc. Im Jon nice to meet you all. Been looking on the forum for ages and noticed some really nice N16s. like liams N16 and darrens, edk's, almerasleeper. and the sr16ve N16 in Aberdeen.
down to business I guess. my dad has well had a nissan pulsar gtir and I loved that car but I would never insure it. so I bought a 04 ph2 N16 1.5 with the intention of SR'ing it.

was wondering if anyone can tell me all the parts i need?
alot of the things i have are spares left over from my dads GTIR

so far i have an
SR20DE out of a tino
spare GTIR head
GTIR throttle body's
GTIR stage 4 race clutch and flywheel
Blitz turbo timer
Blitz EGT sensor
GTIR B&M short shifter
greddy E-manage blue
GTIR manifold
garret T28 turbo
forge FMIC
tommi 2.2 stroker
tommi baffeld sump
tommi rocker stoppers
tommi cams
tommi pistons
tommi rods
ARP studs
HKS head gasket 1.2mm (I think)
GTIR walbro uprated fuel pump
GTIR role cage

still to get (what would the best option to get from primera GT or almera GTI)
P11-144 gearbox or what other gearbox would fit the N16
engine loom
NATS box
ECU.

can anyone point me in the right direction for?
drive shafts
gear linkages
and mounts.

thank you for taking time to read this and much appreciated for all the help. cheers Jon.

@Liam has done the SR conversion himself and will be best placed to give you all the information you need...

but please listen to him. others have learnt the hard way by not.

The GTi-R head won't bolt up to the Tino bottom end. The clutch and flywheel won't work with a front wheel drive gearbox either.

You'd be better off leaving the head and just putting the GTI-R turbo parts (exhaust manifold etc) onto the other block. You'll get good power with that and it has been done loads on here now. See the two guys above for that, Spyke and Chunky.
The other stuff such as baffled sump and stuff is all nice stuff but unless you were planning on it being a track bashing fire breather then I wouldn't bother and with the N16 chassis you'd probably be better off not doing that. Roll cage won't fit either and I don't know anyone that makes a kit specific for the N16 Econobox. Could be custom job.
In my honest opinion I'd either concentrate on getting an SR into the body or concentrate on building a well specced turbo engine and then deciding on a home for it.
You must have deep pockets! ;)

Hi. Thank you for the replys. Chunky thank you for that info ill be looking up liams. I was origanaly going to use his as the other builds are in very good detail but I can make more sence of Liam's and I really don't want to get things wrong.
Spyke thank you for that i did have ideas about the head but would have prob spent days wondering why it didn't fit lol. And yeah did think that about the clutch but thought I would ask.
Spook I might do that instead. I do want to build a all out performance N16 I was going to get a gtir block but that was £500+ the complete tino engine with everything on it for £100 only problem is the tino is an auto. Might just buy a gtir block as well and build a spare engine. I will try do a build thread on my n16.
All the engine components I have in the shed that never made it onto my dads gtir so don't really cost me much lol so a steel at that. I did think the half cage just the rear seats thought that cage would have fited into the back of the n16.
Cheers Jon

Don't bother with a gtir block, forget about all the gtir engine bits now.

Get a fwd sr20 the tino one being an auto won't make a difference will just mean its had an easier life.

Drill the oil return into the block whilst the engine is out of the car, you can then simply put a bung in it until it's ready to be turbo's if you even decide to.
