Hi all,

recently registered after owning an Almera Groove for many years. Was a family car but bought a new car for the wife and kids so the Almera is mine. Have big plans for it ! Know nothing at all about modifying cars but I am a fast learner. Before I start the mods I am going to tidy up the bodywork. Was planning to five it a going over with some touch up paint and some t-cut.

Can anyone help me with a very basic question about tyre pressure? All my previous tyres has had the ideal pressure marked on the side but my current set dont. I have been on the manafacturers website but no joy. Any idea what the ideal tyre pressure is? Is it right that the front tyres should be higher pressure than the back because of the weight of the engine ?

Hi fella, welcome along. Tyre pressures should be on a sticker inside the drivers door or in the owners handbook.

less drag, and fuel efficiency... lower pressure in the front for more grip whilst and braking.. when turning and/or braking, more force is pushed into the front of the car... where you need the grip in a fwd car, and hardly any weight is pushing on the back, and the car just isnt aerodynamically suited for rear downforce, even the gti spoiler would do almost nothing lol

Front heavy cars tend to run more PSI in the front tyres. I run equal pressure front and rear, as my car is much lighter than most.

The only time the front gets less PSI is on the drag strip.

The standard for GTi's is 33 front and 30 rear and I think that applies for up to 2 or 3 people in car. If you're travelling with up to 5, the advise 36 front and 33 rear.

That's what I run mine at...

These pressures are good for standard 15" alloys or after market with same tyres i have 1" alloys with a 205/40 tyre would i need to adjust mine in anyway?
