Now then all,
Just bought my self a T Reg GTI,
was a members on here before, think they had some alarm issues with it..
pink_dasiychain...or something like that.
Picked it up last monday, 68k on the clock with service history, K & N and stainless steel cat back system.
Goes really well and for £900 quid was over the moon.
Just done 600 miles in it since picking it up and the only things it needs is tracking and a good service, also has been bitten by the rusty arches bug, so been down to local body shop and been quoted £350 pound notes for a full respray....and they do a good job as well as its a insurance approved company.
Will post pics on here soon after shes had her first bath and wax.

£350 for a Full respray what does that include the whole car? Resprays for that money dont exist any more well decent ones anyway. Maybe i'm wrong would be good too see the final result.
 
respray includes, bonnet, bumper, wings, doors, rear quarter, roof, boot, and rear bumper.inc mirrors and fuel cap.
He does a really good job, done a couple of my friends cars nd a insurance job for the company i work for.
cant afford it till after xmas thou, so you will have to wait until then for pics.
Serviced her tonite thou, so she should run a bit better.

£350? I'd be extremely wary unless you know the guy personally and he's doing this as a homer on mates rates.

I've yet to see a sub £800 job look decent on any car.
 
welcome to the club fella-i'll keep an eye out for you when i venture into t'town...cheap but good resprays are still out there round here...just have to do 99% of the prep urself.faffing a bit of paint on is the easy bit lol-just havent quite got the hang of it myself! runs=more rust protection
