Hello all,

I have just brought a 2003 Almera with 122000 on the clock..

Im planning on using it as a run around,

It does have a few problems the abs esp light is on and needs an mot but I got it for 200 pound which I think is rather cheap.

What oil grade would you run in the 2.2 dci at that mileage

Welcome to the club.

ABS light could just be a rust ABS sensor ring, or you might need new sensors. Try doing a reset first, details in the FSM (Factory Service Manual) which can be had on the forums.

122k miles is not a great deal on the engine if it's been 'good' miles (long journeys). During these cold months a 10W40 which is factory recommended will be fine. If in the summer you find it uses oil (these engines tend not to use any at all!) then maybe think about 15W40.
