Everyone's really really helpful in here.
If you looking for a late model, its known as the N16, P1 is phase 1 and ran until 2002ish, later they call the P2.
Consider a dci 136 SXE with NAV
THE TOP SPEC, every other N16 is just a wannabe! This is the most powerful Almera N16 made.
nearly 140bhp and 41mpg driven like its stolen daily round Devons a-roads....

Pulse - for the man who couldn't afford an SXE - I recall that was a bastard child - Exterior of the P2 SXE, interior of the P1 'S' including the gash flat seats you fall off of in corners.
It was the most basic model the 'S', the only redeemer was the awesome 136bhp 8.9 second to 60mph engine.
Lighter, sure important if you a 10 second car but its probably only lighter as it had steel wheels, no nav, manual mirrors the list goes on.
BUT in racing world take best features, take out shit out & charge more is a good thing.
For me I want all the kit, i'll never be found at SantaPod...
