Hi, from a New almera owner in Sunderland

Hello all,

Just bought my self a N16 2002 Almera E 4 door, had a 1.8 SVE as a motability car back in the day and loved it.

Going to go thru it later to day and see what i need to make if better, i know both brake lights are out only Center light. so need to sort that first.

Regards
James

Update: Not too many problems, replaced both brake light bulbs, got 4 (EuroCarparts have them at 24p each) so i have 2 spares in car. Needs a post cat Lambda\O2 sensor. Rear boot opening mechanism not functioning right, once open i have to use my fingers to flick the handle back in so it will shut, so i will strip it and grease and replace spring if need be and one of the bulbs behind the digital display on the dials is blown so no a night i only get the right hand side of it. Only other think is it is sometimes hard to get in to 3rd gear, i dunno if i me because i been driving autos for a couple of years, there a little bit vibration on gear stick too also not sure if this is normal too, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Other plans for are is that i need to spray the rear driver door as it has a machine polishing burn mark on it and if im painting that i may as well colour code all the black plastic trim inc handles and wing mirrors. i love the idea of the painted lights too for a cheap mod

Check your rear engine mount and the stabilizer bush, that could lead to vibs at the stick, although it's probs nothing to worry about as mine is the same (lot better though since fitting a poly bushing)

Mine is also not quite right on 3rd however my issue is slightly rough engagement this happens 9/10 when upshifting/downshifting unless i change very very slowly, yet goes in easy enough unlike yours so i'm not to bothered.I put it down to having a few different owners in the past.

Best getting OEM lambda if you can.
