Hello Paxton,
Well worth joining up and paying membership, then you`ll get access to a trove of info.
That said, ask away, I`m sure someone will be able to help.

is there a way of changing the radio / cd on a standard 1.5 se extra?

my cd player wont play recorded cd's unless its the fact it wont play mp3's only WMA'S?

Welcome to the forums!

The standard CD player in your car wont play MP3s or WMAs etc, only normal audio CDs, but it will play recorded audio CDs.

You can change the facia to allow you to use an aftermarket CD player which can play MP3s etc.

http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=almera+facia

Be sure to check that the colour you are buying is the same as your own dash though.

There's a how to fit the facia guide on the forum that you can access once you become a member. Very handy!

DO U HAVE IT ON YOURS EAK?

oops caps!

can you send me a pic of how it looks after? cant quite figure ot out in my head, cause the radio controls etc control the heating too

Ah. That's an N16 phase 2/facelift. The one I showed you was a phase 1.

Yeah sorry dont know about changing the centre console on that. Everything is integrated, trip computer, climate control, audio, sat nav. Could only see you doing it with a complete swap out. Custom job=pricey :/ Anyone else have any ideas?

my custom jobbie was not too bad it looked quite neat :)

Hi Man! 'Mon the N16 1.5'S!!!

Haynes manual tells you how to remove the p2 facia panels. Unfortunately, I'm at work so can't say how to do it haha.

Unfortunately, although it tells you how to remove the panels, It doesn't tell you how to fit an aftermarket unit! I've been looking for an adapter for the p2 an it looks like they dont exist!

Perhaps an option would be to use the spare din slot? Or even put it in the glovebox as darren has done.

Using my patented "Crummy AOC MS Paintings" tried highlighting a possible location for a headunit although i don't know if you can fit one there  not all familiar on P2 interiors although one of the guys here will be able to confirm
