Hi from Teeside

Hi everyone I have just got my first almera a 2000 1.5s but am experiencing a problem which I need help with. The car starts and runs fine but when driving under load from about 3000 rpm the car holds back/misses .I have had a code read -no faults, replaced the plugs and it passed its emissions test last week at the mot it also seems quite flat generally
Has anyone experienced the same fault or has any ideas -cheers-Jon

but you have the benifit of being right next to me :)

were abouts are you?

stockton/middlesbrough/yarm - there is a few of us around these here parts

you need to check the wiring under teh front radiator for wear as these can catch and fray - casusing hesitation and or loss of power / failure to start

Have you checked the coil packs? Ran some redex through it? Had the timing chain checked? Welcome by the way...:)

coil packs

I have run some injector cleaner through it and there is no noise or rattles from timing chain it ticksover sweet .I was considering the coil packs do you know how to check them coz they are not cheap. The only thing on the data stream which may have a fault is the downstream /2nd lamda does not seem to show switching like the other front one but is not showing up as a fault?

Just thought I woill give an update on my almeras running problems.
I swapped a set of coil packs from another nissan which was running fine and that made no differance at all. When you are driving the car is flat and doesnt build up revs that quickly. If you floor the throttle it just dies/holds back but on light or slow opening throttle it will rev up without baulking out.I disconnected the cat from exhaust to see if it was a restriction in the exhaust and guess what -no differance. My hair is getting reyer and thinner coz i am losing the plot with it.I have accvess to a vedis diagnostic code reader which shows up no faults but I suspect the problem may be with either the throttle position sensor or maybe air flow meter anybody got any other suggestions?
cheers Jon
