Hi newbie here

Hi all, Have had my almera gti about 11 years, and can only say its the best handling and most reliable car i have ever owned. Has never failed an MOT and the only expense on my part was a new starter motor.
Have hunted high and low for a workshop manual, for it but,so far nil luck.Anyone know where i can aquire
one.

regards Howard

Welcome to the forum :-)

Darren, having enjoyed the car for so many years, was considering, doing it up a little, and perhaps adding some tuning parts.Used to have lots of fun, leaving more modern cars in my dust, around country lanes, and thought id try an add a little more horse power. And to be perfectly honest, know little about, how to maintain in top order, cept for regular oil changes.

Having just bought an old connect van (for fishing trips)find im using it for everyday use so the Almera
can spend time off the road, for work in progress.

First important jobs, are the body skirts that rattle, once i go over 80mph,and have a few cracks appearing on the front corners.

http://www.genis-x.com/ is where you'll find the factory service manual, which is what I presume is what you're after! If you want a bit of info on what to do to give your car a little extra poke, pay £16 to become a full member, and everything you need to know can be found in the GTi tuning section :)

Welcome, did you buy it new? There are workshop manuals online...although I don't know where. But if you wan't a Haynes you'll need an almera one for the body, but a Primera GT one for the SR20DE engine..as they don't do a GTi one.

There is alot of parts out there for the GTi, just depends how much you wan't to spend...with the right parts they'll keep up with/beat any new hot hatch over A/B roads.

Many thanks for the feedback

GTI Kurt.

Many thanks for the Haynes manual info, ill buy both,an be sorted.
Got my almera with 6,000 miles on the clock, its bog standard, but still in good nick having thrashed it
often, cept will have to repair/replace the front and sides skirts,or soon will fall off,as all badly cracked.

Many thanks all for your help Howard
