Hi

Hey all, recently got myself a 2003/04 3dr n16 Almera in gray, 1.5 SE as my first proper car. The car itself is in good condition (apart from the day i got it someone must have hit me in a B&Q car park, as the rear bumper got scratched loads and cracked a bit) and only had about 22k miles when i got it, about 24 on it now.

I have to say, these are really nice cars, driving around town is nice, with the smooth ride, and the powerful power steering which makes life alot easier. It is also a good car when Im going around the mountain, and around the countrysides where there is no speed limits.

I am thinking of modifying it a bit, i bought an air filter for it, but not exactly sure how to fit it exactly, and don't want to do it wrong and break something, so i wouldn't mind a bit of help with that .

Ill post some pics up tomorrow after i get it washed, as it is a bit dirty.
Any ideas for what i could do with the car would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

P.s. Is it worth becoming a member on here, as i am considering

Hi, :welcome: to the AOC Moxli. :)

If you seriously want to mod your car, you just HAVE to pay the membership fee, as you get tons of info & decent discounts from various companies when you do. :D

There are a few Techno Grey N16s coming onto the site lately, I had a 5dr 1.5 SE before getting the GTi & there are now a few nice aftermarket parts for the N16 available (my N16 was the club guinea pig for some of them  ).

Check out member edk`s Diesel version in Members Rides, as he is trying a few subtle styling options.

Just to give you some pointers, this is what I did to mine. :)

K&N induction kit & Genuine Nismo front strut brace (direct fit).

De-badged rear end (all badges are just stuck onto the bootlid, so no holes to fill afterwards) ;) & Sebring backbox (direct fit). :)

Smoked side repeaters & 17" KEI Racing Force 10 alloys.

Again, welcome to the club, all the info you`ll ever need is on this site.

Welcmoe to the AOC, membership is definately worth it. The "private threads" are for paid members only and the amount of info in there for N16 owners is amazing. Everything from suspension upgrades, big brake kits to styling & engine mods. Plus there's a few sites where AOC members can get discounts so you'll probably make the money back on parts or bulbs / wipers etc...
