HID opinions

Did a search but the info I could find was quite old..


... I know where to buy them and I know what they do, how they fit.. etc..

...What are peoples opinions on these?

.. these are available for Sub 100 quid now..

So im after a set, just wanted to know if there are any cons with them.. and are they a real difference?..

Im thinking of a set of just brilliant white..
 
hmmm I brought a set of Hid H7 (8000K) and they are a lot brighter then standard. the 8000k are just legal the 1000k are illegal in the UK as they show a purple light

ebay said the higher the K the less light you get, so the best ones are 6000k but its ice white. The 8000k has a tint of blue but very small to notice

I would go for 8000k or 6000k.

The N16's uses H7 and the N15's use H4's

H4's may be more expensive as its 2 light bulbs in one unlike the H7

I have a set with 8k bulbs, they are absolutely brilliantly, really sets off the car well and the blueish glow from them in the dark is amazing, i thought at the start when i fit them that i'd get alot more people complaining that my headlights are too bright, but that hasnt happened once..

if you want brilliant white, just go for 6k's, 8k's have a bit of a blue tint in them, but for pure white go for 6, sure if you need any other bits of info, drop me a pm..
 
Cheers guys, I think ill just go for a set for a laff then...

I wont go for the 60 quid cheepest.. il pick up a set around the 90/100 mark..
 
are you sure they are that cheap the H7's with the single bulbs are about 60 and thats cheap I spent 90 on mine the cheapest H4's I seen was about 130ish as they have 2 light bulbs in one
 
where can you get them from im interested in a set

but what are they like come mot time ?
 
I think they would look really good! I think that i will get some one day but funds at the moment are pretty tight!
 
Ill never drive a car without hids again iv 6000k i think there brilliant. iv had a lot of complaints from my mates bout me driving behind them, i just tell them its ok it not botherin me.
