Hi All,

Just wondering how many post 123K Almera GTi cars are out there?

Any idea how many miles a 97 N15 engine will manage to do before
being totally knackered. I'm also on original clutch! Obviously one very careful owner :D

SR20's are famous for going going and going, regular oil changes is the main key and obvious servicing. regular oil and filter changes are the main things though, i believe the term is bullet proof providing you give it the necessary servicing.

i believe there are primeras on the club that have gone well past the 300k mile mark

my sunny has done 113k thats fine, my mera SRi has done 102k no probs.

My GA16DEs done 122k.

Still going strong. Had an oil filter/sump/oil change recently along with a new air filter and its back to feeling perky and lively.

corbs bought a gti a while back that went to the moon and back, about 200 miles then. keep it maintained and you got yourself a shuttle.

my SR20DE done 115,000 miles, and 4,000 by me, and not one irregular noise (apart from start up during the cold weather!)

looking at the service history too, it only had one engine fault at 40,000 miles, but it was a cheap and easy fix!

Thankyou Rhyd! I was going to say.... My GTi just passed its MoT today...

196,020 Miles on the clock!

I'm going to try and crack the 200,000 mark before next year.

The SRi has done 138,000 ish too.

Well, sounds like I got a really reliable car here. Might as well keep it going for a few more K's. Only worries at mo are the rear wheel arch starting to bubble, and still have to use key to open/close driver door as Remote Central Locking only works on Passenger door... (Damn that Peugeot driver who side swiped my door two year ago.!)

mine's on 115,000 and needs it's first clutch change, and in 4000 miles, when the engines up to temperature, no noises at all, on a cold day there is some strange noises, but that happens to every car i guess
