hmmm...should i...

...colour code the centre console bit where the headunit and stuff is?

it'll be the arctic blue...i've already done the interior handle backing bits on all 4 doors and they look pretty good but i duno whether the centre bit will be too much?

opinions please?

cheers :)

Nah it looks good if done right trust. It looks a bit odd for a few days but when you get used to it, the centre console looks a lot more interesting colour coded.

Some pics to help you decide

I put a few coats of lacquer on the centre console when I finished so it sparkles in the sunlight now:D
One thing I would have done if i had the chance again would be to sand down the fake leather effect and have it smooth, that would look even better imo.

ahhhh, that last pic hurt my eyes rick.

i like the one in the 3rd pic tho, think i'll probably just go for it, can always get another one cheap if i dont like it, or respray it black.

cheers for the pics

haha, nah, its cool chris, i have the primer, paint, laquer and paint gun here anyway.

but i think i might leave it for now until the day i get really bored and go on another painting spree :)

Looks poo, i did it to my last car and it looked ok but i wish i never had, like the Almera it had a lovely smooth black dash that i ruined with a big splat of body colour.

tempted to sand mine down smooth and spray it a silver/grey colour. something dull, not too intrusive, just to break up that big sea of black that is the dash.

I did my dial surrounds white and I think they look pretty good! Am going to leave the rest black though (Already colour coded... one step ahead!)
