right i need 2 fit batterys in the spare wheel well for the install. but 2 get to it involves 1/2 a days work to remove so really only want to do it once. how deep in the wheel well and roughly how round. is an n15 shell buy the way. thanks in advance

unless you have an absolutely major install, big amps from big makes, then i would just stick a yellow top under the bonnet unless your tidying up under the bonnet, imo there really isnt much gained from fitting a split charge system (i work in an audio shop, and so far havent yet needed to fit a split charge system)

yup it took me and a mate half a day 2 strip all the trim off get the box in and wired then put the car back together again. the box is the same size as the boot which is a problem.
i did look at these but then i saw the price of them. unless u know of a way 2 get a good deal on 1 ?

or a 13inch wheel with a bigger tyre on it. just wondering if any1 could put sum numbers to the question
i would say just over 20 inch diamter......going on 15 wheel and 195/55 tyre. And then 19.5cm ish deep.
but as monka has said, unless your running HIGH wattage, probably more than 2.5k rms, you dont need two battery.....a deep cycle up front will be more than adequate
You would also need to install ventilation for the battery, as when batteries charge they give off toxic/flamable gases.....not alot to worry about, but in a confined space it could be a problem
