how can a trader be so wrong?

advertised as an SI when the interior, bumpers, lack of rear spoiler (was standard on p2 SI's wasnt it?) lack of electric windows and no doubt a few other bits all say it isnt an SI, my bets on an ambition?

see a lot of cars on ebay/autotrader advertised as being something there not, see alot advertised as GT when there not and with primeras you see alot of them advertised an SE's when they dont have any of the extras they had and probably dont have the badge either! how do they come up with it? surely they cant be so dishonest or stupid that they cant read the V5? doesnt make any sense really, if someone is looking for a specific model and your advertising a base model as top of the range with the wrong person viewing it could get violent! especially if you have just travelled half way up the country to find out the seller is making something up
 
That looks identical to Matts car,(even the same alloys) & his is a 1.4 Ambition, so that`s probably wat this is.
 
i have an ambition and it comes with air con and sports seats same as gti but without movable headrests and crazy interior colours that looks like an esteem or an invitation
 
I do not know how people come up with these crazy model names. its like that guy with the Waggon that was listed under a Nissan skyline

I do indeed, well remembered! Mine's an Equation, I'm scouring everywhere for better seats still lol

By the way, it sure as hell isn't an Si:

My money is on the "Esteem" just being an Equation with alloys, hence the "slightly higher" value.
 
to be fair, not everyone knows the differences between every model of almera ever made. i couldnt tell you what an Si looks like, i know they have a spoiler.

That happened with us a while ago. Some lady told us that her Almera was a SE so we won the car(on ebay), drove 50 miles to find it was an S with an S badge on the back so how could she get it wrong?? lemme guess, someone stole the 'E' the day before we came right :rolleyes:

About that car dealer, If someone buys it just because it says Si in the ad they deserve to be ripped off. When your buying something big like a car you should do some research and at least and learn a bit on what your actually buying.
 
yer the thing that made me angry was that any documentation he has wont have SI wrote on them, its not even like a badge has confused him and he genuinely doesnt know anything about almeras. think hes just found out the SI is the top of the range 1.4 and decided to say its one of them, cheeky tw*t
 
i have issues with my car. nothin to do with false advertising but the fact that i should have bought an sri instead of an slx. ive gotta do all the mods such as spoiler, fogs, splitter etc just to get it up to spec. on the plus side i just bought a brandnew spoiler for £50 inc p&p :)

Slightly different to mine. As i have e/w e/m a/c, but no sunroof. Think it could be a equation. Still looks clean though. ohh and my interior is a bit more tastefull :lol:

It's an Esteem, see my post hehe ;) but the Equation also has those terrible seats!
