Just thought I'd say hi as I'm a noob on here. My names Bav and i'm very proud to say I own a phase 2 SRI almera. Got her for 1600 but she's in absolute mint condition, 55k, 2 owners, 12months mot, no tax tho. My insurance is £ 670 fully comp (23years old) I'll post some pics and I'd be gratefull if you'd tell me if i paid a fair price or not. Gotta say looking around the forum there are some really sweet rides. One thiong I want to do is either spray the door protectors red from black or get rid of them How do these come off. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey thats the one off ebay isnt it? Welcome to the site, I've also got a 5-door SRi, phase 1 though, with the bodykit almost finished!

Yeah I like it! But then I would lol. Fair few people who prefer the 3-doors but TBH I'm not one of them. Good idea about spraying the bumpstrips body colour, would look neater at the same time as protecting the doors (Mine have loads of dents and scratches mainly because they never had bumpstrips! But If you want to get rid then have a search for 'bump strip remove' or something, should bring up what you need, theres loads of info on the forum! Another idea would be to colour code the rear light surrounds, if you sign up to be a member you can access the 'how to' section which has basically everything in!
All in all (Condition, mileage etc) I would say that is a fair price esp. with bodykit, although I would ditch those floormats. Nice one on the insurance, I'm currently paying £1600/year for an SRi (I'm 19).

I think 3 doors are more sporty looking but 5 door is more practical for me with baby seats etc and i hate getting out of 3 door cars to let rear passangers out when it pi55ing down lol. I've seen a red 3door on here with colour coded lights and think thats what i'm gonna do. Oh and the door protectors. The mats have already been ditched. You got any pics of ya car mate?
 
Nice cars mate. well the first one was a bit shit till ya got hold of it. Done a real good job of it. Hey ya don't fancy doing mine do ya lol You paying 1600 for the GTI is that fully comp?
 
no lol, paying £1600 for the SRi 3rd party fire and theft! The girlfriend drives the GTi at the moment, she pays £1077 :( Anyway I won't go on anymore about insurance as it kinda destroys threads lol
