My (second hand) car is 10 years old and I'd like to remove the dealer's sticker. Anyone know how to do so without damaging the paint?

Hairdryer should melt the glue a bit. If it's a badge (hard plastic with foam backing) rather than a sticker hairdryer to heat up glue and dental-floss or fishing line to cut through the foam works. Defiantly need sticky-stuff remover (or lighter fluid/petrol) and rubbing with kitchen rolll oget off residue. Probably need a good polish or t-cut to blend in any differences between the paint behind it and the paint around it.

Okay, so I just heat up the sticker and tear it off, clean with something like acetone or gasoline and then use polish?

Thats about it, when I took mine off I used auto glym tar and adhesive remover and then t cut to blend it in. Just take your time and youll be fine

I found Autoglym tar remover good too, or WD40, with a bit of heat then lightly pick away at the sticker with a credit card.

I removed it with a hairdryer, removed the remaining sticky stuff with some gasoline and then waxed with mer. Perfectly done, no color differences. Thanks for the help!
