Hey just picked up a 2004 n16, Its 1.8 5 speed manual, done 50,000kms

They are called Nissan Pulsar down here in New Zealand. not Almera

Next question my old car a mitz legnum(galant) wagon

had a set of these advanti comet wheels with these tires - 215-45-17 (stud pattern is 4 x 114)

The wife took both cars down and they told her, they were to big to fit on the n16, which i think is incorrect. I won't really have a good chance to see if they fit until this weekend, just wondering if anyone could give me headup if they should be sweet or not

The stud pattern is right, and you should fit 17's on an N16 no problem at all. If the ET matches up, that is.

Welcome.

What does OFFSET (et) mean?

Your car requires a unique offset. This is where the wheel will sit in relation to the bodyline of the vehicle, realistically you can go 5-7mm outside these recommendations, but always consult a technician if you are unsure, as there are often other factors that need to be considered. Offset is usually stamped on the wheel and is measured in millimetres of et (et is the short form of the German word 'Einpresstiefe' which literally translates as insertion depth).

Ahhh et means offset.

I know basics with cars, i am more of a bike tho.
I got a 2004 gsxr600, as well as 04 gsxr1000 in the garage.

/\ cool :) the rims should fit but make the car slightly slower. 205/45/17's should be better. I had 185/65/15s and i changed them to 195/60/16's and i never noticed the difference but the rims are not bigger you see. I like the steering on the 195/60/16's seems a lot stiffer and has the feeling your sticking to the road lol.

/\ you may thing i am chatting shite lol

yeah well the current tyres only done like 15,000kms so don't really wanna replace them got some good bridgestone my01s

they fitted sweet, just gotta grab some pics of it at some stage now.

Now on to sorting out the speakers.
