Hey hi! See I have this 2001 Almera, automatic and stuff, and I would like to ask you guys how to change its hydraulic direction (wheel) oil... is that a simple thing to do? If so, where can I find the cap downthere to drain it? The mechanic told me to change it because the oil was already darkened.

See it is very hard here in Mexico to find a store where those things can be done at a reasonable price, as the Almera ain't no longer being sold here...

Thank you!

There should be no need to change it? Pull the lowest pipe off the power steering motor and drain, then refit it! Refill the resevoir, leave the cap off, start the engine and turn the steering wheel lock to lock a couple of times to bleed it then top up the resevoir again!

You need to follow the pipe from the resevoir down to the pump, where the pipe connects to the pump you need to disconnect.Im not that familiar with the n16 so maybe someone else will chime in!
