I also own an Almera.

Hi all,

I've got a 2004 2.2 DCi Almera. Not the first Nissan I've owned, but the first since you-know-who got involved and started threatening to put French bits in them.

I have an electrical/audio problem with the car, so please say hi and take a look at my post to see if you can help- thanks.

Cheers,

Audio Electrical problem

Hi again everyone

I've tried (and failed) to post in the electrical and audio sections (couldn't find the button to start a new thread) and the N16 maintenance section (not allowed to post), so I've had to post here - apologies if I was doing something wrong and this is in the wrong place. Hopefully you can help anyway.

As I said, I've got a 2004 Almera 2.2 DCi. It's been fine but recently it's developed a problem with the radio. The audio functions started going on and off very rapidly, with popping sounds coming through the speakers, for a few days, and now they don't come on at all (no sound and no audio control graphics on the screen). The rest of the panel (the A/C and heater controls) work fine. The model I have has the centre mounted screen at the top and a single CD player in the column.

Any ideas why this has happened and what is wrong? I took it all apart (took the radio out and the screen) and sprayed all the connectors with switch cleaner, but this hasn't helped - nothing seemed to be lose.

Thanks for your help.
