hi ppl, i have just recently brought myself an almera 1.5s 53plate with 27,000 miles on the clock. picked it up for £2900 which is a bargain! (i think!) it's still under manufacturers warranty for another month or so, and therefore i need to start thinking about servicing it now!

how much would it cost roughly for a full official servicing? i live in south west london.

also i wanted to know what the maximum size alloys it can take and what size is reccomended.

wish me luck wit da car :D

Welcome mate. 17'' Wheels fitted with 205/40/17 tyres will fit fine aswell as being able to be lowered. Remember your stud pattern (PCD) is 4x114.3 with an offset (ET) of 38 (*awaits corrrection on that*) look out for N16 Guy's car as a good example, also i think ricks is on ebay right now. happy motoring.

Nope your bang on there mate - well its between 36-42 to be precise but yeah thats fine

BTW mate Welcome to the forums

P.S. i got a set of 16" OZ Superturismo GT's for sale ;) pm for details

stud pattern? pcd? 4x114.3 with an offset of 38?

can sum1 explain this please! :)

cheerz guys

Offset is basically how far the back of the wheel is pushed out from the hub (Where the bolts are) so if the wheel sticks out past the arch you have one type of offset and the other end of the scale would be with the wheels deep in the arch (i.e. touching the suspension)

dam thats some pretty complicated shit lol thanks.

so the max n16 can take is 17inch?

I think rick may be on 18'' rims but dont quote me on that. For an easy life stick with 17'' as its a tried and tested size.

yeh i will stick to 17's thanks, now i just need to wait for my student loan to come thru! ;)

Mine has 17" with the above profile tyres on...plenty of room for lowering!

You`re right, Ricks is on 18s, mine`s on 17s (as they were cheaper :P )!

If you do get 17s, you deffo need to get either lowering springs or Coilovers, as they leave a big gap in the arch (see pic)!
