As i look at my exhaust manifold from the front of the car i see a hole is appering where what i think is the gear lever is knocking in to it?? am not sure it is the gear lever but am sure the hole its creating is getting bigger, please help guys!!...

right, i have had a proper look, its mounted from an engine mount to the downpipe/exhaust manifold and has rusted through, so will i need a new one or leave it as it is, there is no leak as of yet as exhaust note is normal.
