I WANT POWER AND RWD!!!

My mate woke me up this morning with the sound of a fucking turbo powered Altezza!!!

After much arsing around I went back to my house and my mind is working overtime!

I have wanted a WRX / RX7 powered beetle for fuckin ages but I am flat BROKE...

So I want more power and I want RWD... has anyone ever done a GTi-R swap in to an N15? While i was in Trinidad I came across a lot of 4WD standard N15 pulsars, so could you take the 4WD stuff chop it up and mix it up with a big power lump and make an N15 RWD power thing???

In a nut shell I want my VZR to have more power and be RWD can it be done??? (in a world where money dosent matter :lol:)

Buy muirs 4WD pulsar.. convert to SR20 using GTiR gearbox.. make gearbox RWD brendonT4 has done this.. voila RWD turbo N15..

buy a volvo 340. lol

cheap as fuck, really good learning experence, and easy as fuck to mod

most people mod cars over winter/spring so they are ready for summer, as soon as i have picked my gti up, the volvo is getting stripped, and a 2.0 injection lump,

loads of engines fit as well as it is a renault lump, i was going to go clio 16v, but i'm sticking the 2.0 8v in, over the standard 1.7 carb, i get, about 50bhp more, and double the mpg. lol win win situation.

That is pretty much exactly whats happened to my mate since he brought his S13 lol...
Except he kept on chucking thousands at it and managed to drag it through BDC and damage it more in the process lol
 
RWD + TURBO = Big bills and a massive waste of time. You can not take out a powerful rwd for a rag about like a fwd. sorriest thing i ever done was go turbo rwd. sold the black n1 for a s13 sr20det, gave it and money for a rb27dett skyline, swopped it for a ps13, sold it at a masssive loss and bought the black pulsar, then paid the same amount i got for the ps13 for the n1, I spent nearly €15000 to return back to a older rougher car than i started out with all because i thought RWD Turbo was gonna be epic, its not its shit unless you wanna impress chavs by spinning it around in small circles
 
Is is not possible to keep it 4WD have the looks of the N15 but the carnage on the roads the N14 GTIR provides?

Saw a 200SX mildly loose it going round a fairly large roundabout in town 'unsafe' imo .. been in my bros 2.5L Twin turbo Turbo lexus soarer rwd 2bh I have more fun in my car!

Im not gonna buy anything new it took a shit load of cars to get to the one Im happy with and I love my VZR...

Great minds think alike... wait... maybe not so great, hahaha
 
You can not take out a powerful rwd for a rag about like a fwd.

On this note, was thinking today about how I never took the GTi out for a 'rag' like I can do with the SRi. Back road blasts are a lot more fun with the lower power and different gear ratios, the GTi always seems like its going to run out of space and/or revs, always in the wrong gear.
Of course the story would be different if I lived near a load of dual carriageways but its mostly lanes where I live.
When myself and tom did the devonshire SRi touge battle it was loads of fun, but I felt that it would just have been a pain to drive in the GTi.
Any thoughts on this?
 
When I was in the passenger seat of Ian's car, I didn't know whether to look at the track ahead or his feet, which were moving like Michael Flately having an epileptic fit. :)
