I want to UNLOWER my GTi!

The ride in my lowered GTi is killing me - I'm fed up of whincing with every bump!

It was lowered when I bought it - what will I need to get it back to standard and do you have it?

Is it that your car is hitting the ground or the ride is just too harsh? Because if it's the latter (looking at your avatar) I'd say that smaller alloys and higher profile tyres would help ease the bumps!

you'll need any suspension from any GTi, as long as the springs and shocks are from the same car

if I was you I would change your alloys first from what looks like 18"'s or 17"'s to stock GTi alloys.

Deffo get some smaller alloys with higher profile tyres. This is the problem with mine.

Lowering springs dont make that much difference on almeras, it'll be your wheels mate.

I'm lowered 35mm all round, apparently - so with that info do tou still reckon it's the wheels???

fitting standard springs will help alot. If you like your wheels just swap the springs...and see how that feels. It will look really high though.

what size are the original tyres?

195/55/15 is std size tyre although some people fit 195/50/15's

I've just put my standard wheels back on after having my 17s on for a while. My car's lowered on springs too- it handles so much better with the standard wheels.

Where are you mate, a friend of mine with a GTi is looking to lower his, you might be able to work out a swap deal if the shocks are in good condition.? Are you in Ashford I'm sure I saw a P1 GTi with those forsale here a few months back.
