Went to the car boot sale. Returned to my car, to notice my whole front indicator unit missing, and damage to my wing and front spoiler

It probably happened outside my house last night, although the mystery is...where's the indicator?

I cannot work out if an animal nicked it and cause damage doing it. Or if another car hit it (but where's the debris?)

Or if it was dangling and fell of while I was driving to the bootsale.

Does anybody know where I can get a front passenger side indicator unit for a 1999 phase 2 Nissan Almera Gti? (I have put a post in the wanted section)

The car isn't even legal to drive

Are these things often stolen? Any idea what they cost new from Nissan?

Someone probably nicked it mate as the GTI ones are £30 from nissan they stupid bastards why cant people pay for stuff like all of us do!

one thought that might make you feel slightly better is they probably broke it getting it off because there a right pig to remove.

good luck finding one, shouldnt be too difficult

Nah sorry they were ordinary phase 2 ones, although you could use the hot water method to get them apart and spray them?

UPDATE

I now have the replacement indicator.

How are these fitted? What is the screw for?

Right, to replace them, look on the top of your headlight, there should be a small plastic arm that screws into the headlight itself (Check the good side to make sure). The indicator will pop into a grabbing-socket type thing hidden from view, low down next to the headlight, and behind two clips on the front wing. The plastic arm fits over the headlight and screws into the top, then the bulb housing slots into the back of the light.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Corbs, all done. I managed to bend the wing back into shape ok. The f***ing moron who did it did snap of the black arm (half of it was there), and left the full bulb assembly behind.
