In a pickle with my Almera Tino!

Hi guys, Hope you can help me with my Almera Tino. It's a 51 plate 2.2 Diesel and the wheel bearing has just about gone. Can't afford a replacement however my local scrappy as a 1.8 Petrol Tino. If I removed the whole wheel knuckle so the bearing was part of it would it fit the driveshaft of the 2.2 Diesel or do I need to get one from a 2.2 Diesel?
 
I'd advise going for another 2.2 Diesel one. The spline count may be different to the petrol's as well as the shaft size (it is on the 136bhp 2003+ 2.2 Diesel).
