Information about my Almera

Hey Guys,

Recently found this forum and I must say it is quite informative and helpful. That being said, i recently bought my first car from my brother after graduating and i wanted to know the proper specifications about the car.

From reading I know its a N16 Almera, but its not like the others i see posted here (see the pictures)

What i can tell you is its a 2001 model that's what he said, but when i search ebay etc for parts the cars don't look anything like mine.

I need to fix the headlights also, if anyone can point me to how to get them leveled that would be very much appreciated.

Hi and welcome.

Yes its an N16. A phase 1 saloon (probably known as a Sedan in your part of the world).

We didnt get the 1.3 engine over here in the UK so i cant give any info relating to that, but id imagine it just a de-stroked 1.5.

Interior wise id imagine they're the same as ours (maybe yours is LHD?), suspension and brakes will be the same, the front end of the body is the same as the hatchbacks but the rear will obviously have a different bumper, bootlid and lights.

What do you mean level? Does it have electric adjusters?

Yes it is LHD so does that mean the parts etc for the hatchback models would work on mine?

The headlights are off balance, not sure if i said that correctly...I've googled how to aim headlights properly,there is supposed to be some screws but i can't seem to find them. I want to get them level again or if not maybe put in news ones?What are the electric adjusters?
