Anyone have knowledge/experience of this? In my case, extrude hone a diesel injector. Anyone know who might be able to do this? I heard wezz or tommo was good at honing but that might just be rumour.

Cheers

Not being funny Ed, but you'll probably find that a local agricultural outlet (tractors, farm equipt, etc) will be able to help you out. That's the direction I was pointed in initially, but they only did diesel injectors & not petrol. So could be fine for your purposes.

Would have to trial fit, but looking at them they probably will. However they usually sell for about £120 EACH. Honing could be a lot cheaper.

YD22 injectors might flow enough already, or even be the same as YD25 injectors (different part numbers but that could just be because the head is round the other way on the YD25). If they flow enough I might only need an uprated fuel pump like one from the YD25. Again different part numbers but who knows if it's more powerful than the YD22!? These part numbers may only be different for fitment to each engine rather than 'rating'.

I think remap and see how we go, and hopefully, if I don't make the power I'm after, the mapper can tell me what it is that's restricting. i.e. fuel, or turbo etc. But I want to keep all my options open so if I do hit a bump in the road I can sort it out right away. Cheers Paul for that. Typically there's loads of places in America to go - http://www.gethoned.com/diesel.php

remove your injectors and bring thm up to mine, there is a local chap to me who stripped, cleaned and matched up my 550cc one, now they are all exactly the same,
heres his number,

his name is john,

stu :-)

I think I'll find out if he can do what and I want, and also do diesel injectors first stu before I whip them out of my car! Cheers though I'll get in touch with him.

Back on this as an option. Anyone know someone who can successfully extrude hone injectors? I've heard if it's not done right it can mess up the spay pattern which will affect their potential and also give shite economy.

Just a hone and not an over bore? I take it that is for the cylinder body (behind the nozzle)? If you can tell me exactly what you want doing I can get a quote from here and if we can't donut out sister company will be able to. Let me know.

Extrude hone the nozzles. But Im also looking at AFM. There seems to be several processes for this. EDM is what's used to make them but it leaves the holes rough. AFM leaves a more polished finish.

Looking to get about 20% extra flow but need to stay true to the spray pattern.

Thanks spook :-)
