Inner arch lining

Can this be removed without too much worry or does one side keep the loom (i dont know where the loom runs on the almera) safe? I only ask because when going over some stupidly big bumps in the road or where the camber changes dramastically the wheels scrape on the plastic due to how low the car is. I want rid but i dont want to damage the car or make it look shit. I was thinking of just cutting the top part of the trim away where it rubs and fixing the rest inplace some how?? Any Ideas??

Well when I bought mine, the front half of the driver's side front arch was missing anyway, till I got a new one fitted by Nissan's. Now I need the brake vent duct that goes at the bottom, so if you go ahead, I'll buy that off you :)

The brake ducts dont do anything mate i wouldnt bother, they should be calld tiny sliver of tyre ducts!

the loom runs down the drivers side wing, its quite close to the arch liner at the top of the splash guard, personally i would keep it on and raise the car a bit, wouldnt want to damage the wireing loom

u must have the car really low

its not mega low. think i might just get some lower profile tyres or try and put 16" on. Will have to raise car up in june for ferry as im off to francais in it! should be fun!

Yeah I know, but it bugs me knowing there's a bit missing :) I want it to be complete...

Gunna hijack my own thread here but this is bugging me alot. The custom exhaust i bought off nismo_billy bangs on the chassis when going over large bumps. Ive cured it banging on the bottom of the rear axle using some bike tyre and zip ties. I was wondering if i could use the same method for the top by puttin some bike tyre around the exhaust and use metal zip ties. I know the exhaust gets very hot but the inside of a bike tyre seems to be quite heat resistant, i could always line it with thin aluminium plating. That way the tryre tread would be on the outside and it wouldn't bang half as loud? Good idea or am i talking bollox!?

My scorpion exhaust used to bang on the back axle, so i put a large rubber exhaust mount (off a sprinter van) around the exhaust, just above where it was catching and that was perfect, it didn't melt either. it stoped the noise compleatly, even though it is a bit of a pikey way to do things
your idea sounds just as good.

you could get some exhaust heat wrap and wrap a few times along the area that bangs, that should kill alot of the noise

Cant believe i haven't thought of that. Thats why i love this forum lol, i'll just make it about 0.5inch thick and then put some tyre ontop of that!

if its a custom-made exhaust, take it back!! Its suposed to be custom made to a gti, so it shouldn't bang at all?

the problem is the warranty only covers the original car it was fitted to, and if it was built on a standard ride hieght car, putting it on a lowered one will mean its more likely to knock
