Alright,

I know have an old Rockford 12" and on Saturday picked up a JBL 15" sub in a straight swap for a 12. Think its time now I got a proper install but...one thats possible to take out. Or at least most of it anyway.

So, thinking, 2 x 12" and 1 x 15". Prefer Fusion but nowhere but halfrauds sell them!

If i put the 12s at the sides of the boot and the 15 in the spare wheel well, then I just need to do something with the amp(s). This way, I have a bit of boot space as now the boot is full with just the 12 and 15!

Dont plan on spending much money at all but been looking at JBL 12s and 6x9s for a cheap decent set and then maybe put my Fusion ones somewhere else.

Will also need a floor doing, which I can do put a perspex floor was suggested, but im worried about the rattle that will come from that and obviously seeing underneath!

Not too up on install or any areas of ICE so bit unsure about things.

So, any more ideas?

Anywhere to get Fusion?

Any cheap places for all sorts of stuff?

Gonna need to get some help on this but kinda know what I want!

Have you checked th obvious EBay,Car mags, motorshop catalogue?
Could be worth a look,I have only ever bought pioneer,Kenwood and speakers and an Infinity sub which sounds really good I must admit :D !

Checked ebay...always come boxed, them set from Halfrauds which i dont want!

All other shops never sell Fusion! Looks like im going JBL!

Dont think its a halfrauds brand. If your doing perspex then only have the perspex over the spare wheel bay open, cover the rest with carpet (over the perspex). Where its covered you can then use an addhesive to hold it down or to stop it rttleing. An alternative is to thread bolts up through and then screw the perspex down, could use wing nuts so can easily be removed.

You will also need to use some type of sound dampening in the spare wheel bay and around the perspex.

isnt fusion a halfrauds brand like ripseed etc... ?

Im pretty sure its a cheapo brand like splx just with green bits on them

If you want to do this, and aint bothered about the amps been hidden, just put them on the back of the rear seats

Done that with the current amp! Its fastened on and stayed so far!!

Would have the Denon hidden and the new one i get for the 15 prob showing.

Looks like Ill be heading for JBL anyway, cheap but decent and easy to get hold of compared to Fusion. It was only a looks thing, not too fussed about stuff like having loudest install or best really. Not my thing, just like something that stays still and looks/sounds ok!

Think JBL, 2x12s and 1x15 with JBL amp powering the 15 and the Denon doing the 12s with Denon hidden.

Also, the parcel shelf!! How can you hide the bottom of the 6x9s so they cant be seen? Would a new shelf need to be made which was larger in width than std? Is there another way?

Also, would the AMP be safe hidden underneath the boot floor Ill be doing or will it need to be in more of an open area?

the amp would need a bit of space or some pc cooling fans(thats what ive done to mine as its a tight fit and could overheat without them)
the 6x9's, you'd need to either put a strip along the the length of the shelf at the back, about 2"-3" deep and that should hide them at least while the shelf is down

You can get a customparcel shelf built for 50 pounds. Its designed specially for six by nines.A local car stereo place near Blackpool does them.
:) Just an option if interested

try acoustic solutions they do very good quality and build stuff and can even design you custom installs space saving etc there based in byfleet surrey they have a web site not sure what it is but just type there name in google your find them..

I've just bought one of the 12" encounter subs in a box, and it seems fine.

Not all of there stuff is cheap tho, their Jonah Lomu stuff is pretty expensive, not sure how good it is??

They sell lots of stuff on here...........
