intermittent dash display fault

It seems I have a faulty ground somewhere; sometimes, but not every time, the dash instrumentation stops working, the mileometer goes to 9999999, the speedo and tach stop working, the h20 temp goes to red, the fuel guage goes to full. this happens occaisionally, so i assume a dodgy connection or earth, is there a seperate earth for the dash? all the fuses seem to be ok...

All fuese are ok,or you would have nothing working at all !,you must have a bad connection or wiring going to the dash,take the dash out so far and wriggle the wires about,see if you can make it come on and off etc,if you can you have found your problem.

You have not crossed battery posts have you by any chance ??
